Josh Boone - Priceless

yes..but he was only a rookie..and 12-13 is pretty even.

look at how some of the best qbs in the game did in their first season

manning 26 tds, 28 pics 2 more pics than young

brees 17 tds 16 pics..pretty even

mcnabb 8 tds 7 pics..pretty even

palmer 18 tds 18 pics.. pretty even

brady 18 tds 12 pics ( he had some time to sit on the bench and learn though)

and young 12 tds 13 pics...

so young has had basically the same ratio of pics to tds and if you add in his rushing numbers he had a really good rookie season compared to some of the best qbs in the NFL

aCtually autonut 1, its 19-13..i said total tds..runnings tds count too, don't they?

You don't count rushing tds when you say td-int ratio. If you did that then did LT 30-0 td-int ratio. I mean he rushed for 28, but shouldn't they count?

JoshSmith - WHO THE HELL IS CALVIN WILLIAMS?! ;) ... you say that in alot of posts ;)

Hornsfan - You CANNOT talk about Roy Williams. You haven't even watched him play. NO, rushing TDs do not count toward a Interception-TD ratio. Can't throw interceptions while running the ball. Plus, Vince Young touches the ball every single offensive play just about. While Roy actually gets the ball maybe once a drive. Roy is a top 5 WR in the league, who can be one of the best if he gets his attitude in check, and a better QB. While Vince has one of the more inaccurate arms. But, he is a good winner, but not a good passer, or at least yet.

But, you really just can't compare the 2.

Roy is good at what he does, and can be one of the best. While Vince Young needs to get passing down. Oh, and the passer rating is an important stat.

But, it won't matter next year. Cutler will blow up, and Vince Young will get hurt. Week 6-7.

They don't have an advantage that Vince Young does, mobility. Teams had to watch out for his running as well as passing.. good for him. But, those players aren't known for running, and weren't in college. They are purely passing QBs, and have worked on that throughout college, Vince Young was a running QB. Can't really compare people who are running QBs to throwing QBs.

Who was the best running QB of all time? Randall Cunningham?

Who was the best passing QB, and the best QB of all time? Marino? Montana? Unitas? Elway? Favre? Manning? All are passing QBs.

And this keeps going, 9 pages

Come on Guys ( inculding you Mods, who have fuel feed this) can we just move on with our sorry little lifes?

Johan Santana is a better pitcher, than Josh Boone is a bench player ;)

Just kidding (but, it's true)

So, lets close this thread, because it's really leading no where.

He at least has a better chance to be the best than Josh Boone has to having an effect in the playoffs.

He never is a strong starter, but his 2nd half is amazing.

2004, he was 13-0

and then in 2006, he was 10-1 in the 2nd half

He started last year 7-6 I think it was last year, and ended 17-6.

He hasnt pitched badly this year, just has gotten not much run support. Key example, last night, 6 IP, 2 ER, quality start, and gets the loss cause he team couldnt score more than 1 run.
