Stan the Man! A real STL mainstay for many decades and a real class act! One of the all time great players, and a great ttm signer during his lifetime....hard to believe he passed 10 years ago.

Muggy had two hits to tie and pass Tony Gwynn for 19th all times hits with 3142!
Tigers score 2 runs on a Zack Short single.6 - 0
Fitting, Miggy ties and passes Tony Gwynn for 19th in all time hits with 3142. Pretty sure I was the only Padre fan to see this in person.

That had to be quite a moment, and how perfect was your timing that you were there to see it in person, likely the only Padre fan to be at the game!! Congrats to Miggy, he is a definite HOFer, in my opinion, and I think for as humble as the great Tony Gwynn was, he would have celebrated Miggy with the same grace as Tony handled everything in his life and career!

Hint to those going to Guardians games, prepay for parking!! Learned the hard way.
Had to drop Carol at the ballpark, buy parking a half mile (as the crow flies) away. But, Cleveland streets make absolutely no sense and got to the game by the 4th inning. Where else can you walk up 9th St, make a left and walk one block and make a right on 6th?
Other than that, Progressive is a decent stadium and the view was okay. Detroit's has the best view behind home plate.
The game was fun, with the Guardians beating the Blue Jays 4 to 3.

I had the same confusion in Cleveland last summer, the streets can be very confusing! Glad you made it, and got to see a close game!
