Football Suspension Expected Wednesday for Big Ben

He is his reason for the suspension

“The Personal Conduct Policy makes clear that I may impose discipline ‘even where the conduct does not result in conviction of a crime’ as, for example, where the conduct ‘imposes inherent danger to the safety and well being of another person’,” Commissioner Goodell stated in his letter to Roethlisberger. “As the District Attorney concluded, the extensive investigatory record shows that you contributed to the irresponsible consumption of alcohol by purchasing (or facilitating the purchase of) alcoholic beverages for underage college students, at least some of whom were likely already intoxicated. There is no question that the excessive consumption of alcohol that evening put the students and yourself at risk. The Personal Conduct Policy also states that discipline is appropriate for conduct that ‘undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL players.’ By any measure, your conduct satisfies that standard.”

Big Ben is a ****** deviant. He got some chick liquored up and went at it in a bathroom all the while having his buddy at the door to keep the rest of her friends out. The victim did not want to pursue any charges because she didn't want to be lambasted in the media or in a courtroom. Unfortunately this happens all too often in these types of cases.

The actual police reports refute this. Maybe you should try reading the 50 pages of written documents before you believe this media driven public lynching of someone who the police didn't even have enough to bring into for 1 second of jail time.

I hope you never make it to a jury. Some poor sap would get life just because you can't divide personal feelings and actual facts...

Good.

Big Ben is an idiot.

Just because you an NFL QB, doesn't mean you take advantage of girls you have never met.

If one of those girls were my daughter, he would know who the hell I was.

They should have gave him the season off.

Vick got 2 games FOR KILLING DOGS....
Belichick CHEATED THE GAME, WAS FOUND GUILTY OF IT, evidence was destroyed at NFL headquarters, and he GOT NOTHING...

This was a media drive public lynching....

Heavy- you're obviously not playing your cards close to your chest, I might be less critical if it were one of my favs possibly, but I hope not. The reporting officer (who was a 20 yr vet and a sergeant) RESIGNED due to his inappropriate comments about the victim. Do you think that decision was made lightly? I have read the majority of the report, and I've also read what the reporting officer stated he failed to include because he felt it was an opinion. A couple of things you need a clue on: She was intoxicated and you can't make a complaint in that mental state, and due to the nature of the crime she would've needed a medical examination to determine what event had taken place. So unless the officers observed physical injuries at the scene an arrest wouldn't be made right then and there anyway. She was unwilling to pursue charges and that's why none were filed. Pretty darn hard to prove ****/****** misconduct etc without a cooperative victim..

Hmm,really?? Straight from some of the docs released by the DA

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- Ben Roethlisberger's "bodyguards" were actively involved in putting the Steelers quarterback and his accuser together inside a Georgia nightclub and preventing the 20-year-old woman's friends from reaching her, according to their accounts to police contained in documents released today.
The woman who told police that Roethlisberger assaulted her gave two statements -- one shortly after the incident, a second several hours later.

"Ben asked us to go to his "vip" area (back of Capital). We all went with him," she wrote in the second statement. "He said there were shots for us, numerous shots were on the bar, and he told us to take them. His bodyguard came and took my arm and said come with me, he escorted me into a side door/hallway, and sat me on a stool. He left and Ben came back ... . I told him it wasn't ok, no, we don't need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave. I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be a bathroom. He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not ok, and he then had *** with me. He said it was ok. Then he left without saying anything."

The Steelers quarterback, who was the focus of a monthlong investigation into ****** assault allegations by Georgia authorities that ended this week with no charges being filed, called his accuser a "tease" during a night of bar-hopping prior to the ill-fated encounter at the Capital City nightclub in Milledgeville, she said in a handwritten statement.

It was there that the woman alleged Mr. Roethlisberger raped her in a bathroom. Mr. Roethlisberger has denied the accusation through his lawyers.

The Post-Gazette does not identify alleged victims of ****** assault.

One of the woman's friends, Nicole Biancofiore, said the woman "was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital. She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening."

Ms. Biancofiore said she saw another friend, Aliesha Scholten, try to open the locked bathroom door, but "she was taken away by a bodyguard of Ben's."

A third friend, Ann Marie Lubatti, told police, that she "approached the other security guard and told him that she [the accuser] was in no shape to be back there with Ben Roethlisberger. He couldn't look me in the eye, and told me he didn't know what was going on. My friend went to open the door, and it was locked."

Media lynching my a$$.

Vick also served hard time in prison and Goodell made it very clear the Vick suspension would be based on his time served. This slob has done nothing other than write some big checks, have people make sure DVD security recordings somehow go erased, and the bathroom where the whole thing took place was scrubbed clean 8 hours later by a bar employee using Ajax and Pine-Sol. The bathroom in question never had a chance to be properly secured for evidence

Police report..please..The police officer was like a 10 yo kid too, wanting his picture taken with Berger and such, did you happen to read that part?...so you actually believe that none of this ever happened and the women are making this up?...Maybe he got all he deserved and maybe not, but you are correct about one thing, it's a good thing I wasn't on the jury (goodell)

I get a real good laugh out of those who think nothing should have been done to Ben and he should be free and clear of any discipline.

Those are the members of society I think who scare me more than anyone else

I didn't hear or read about all this until couple of days ago, i'm just blown away by these allegations. I understand the first girl but not this one like this, I'm so bummed!

Who hasnt gone to a club and tried to or actually picked up a girl and taken them home to have *** with them?

Guess I should have been suspended from the military nearly every single weekend.....

The **** kit showed nothing...
They never collected his DNA.
The sample they got from her was less than 1 1 millionth of the size of a raison.
It could have been anything, from anyone from within days/week.
Her dog could have brushed by her while changing, it would have given more..

The story about the body guard dragging her down the hall was proven wrong when the owner of the bar/that girls friend said in his statement the guard took her to the bathroom because she was unaware of where it was.

How about her following them from bar to bar, trying to get Bens attention. She kept pinching him, and told him what her name tag had her name and "DTF" stood for...

Read Willie Colons statement

Read the girls accusation where she said they had *** - that was it

then when she rewrote it the next day, and it matched what her friends had said.

THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH INFO TO ARREST HIM. That should be a clue, however, the media blitz, playing on emotions to sell papers is what people are fed all day long...

Want to read BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY then go download the 500 page PDF files of the police report.

I love the homers. It's truly amazing what blinders can do to someone

Ben can do no wrong,he's an upstanding model citizen,a perfect gentleman, and obviously walks on water.

Keep smoking what you're smoking, and please pass it around

Actually has nothing to do with this, tbh.

I am not a Steelers fan at all.. A drunk girl had *** with a NFL star. Someone she (almost litereally) stalked the entire night. This is in the police reports. Was she too drunk to have ***? Possibly. Should Ben have had better judgement in having *** with a girl that drunk? Possibly. Was it "morally wrong"? Well thats completely subjective on your morals. Once again as I pointed out in a few posts up. If going to a bar to pick up a girl to have *** with results in your being suspended from your job, the military would be without a whole hell of a lot of men and women.

I don't believe its right to judge someone based on a completely subjective base of morals. Ben is once again, the first person EVER suspended who was never even charged with a crime, better yet convicted of one. I would say there is a bigger claim of racism here than anything because the commish felt pressured to suspend the white guy no matter the cost.

This just goes full circle back to the Duke Lacross incident where nothing happened with that case, yet all the players were punished with their season being lost because of a fals accusation and media hype. People pick and choose certain things they want to believe and dont look at the entire picture. There were some bad choices made, but not the type of choices that warrant the type of punishment given out.
