Well both Duke and North Carolina are playing in Greensboro for the first two rounds. Wish my team got their butts kissed every year like they do. Oh and I heard people griping on the radio about Villanova playing in Philly, "Gee it must be nice playing so close to home..... 'Novas gonna be playing in front of their home crowd.... blah blah blah..."

Yeah, nevermind that UNC or Duke (hell, sometimes both) play in the state of North Carolina every freakin year.... EVERY FREAKIN YEAR~!!!!!!

Hell, last year the Tarheels didnt leave the state until the final four.

So Villanova gets a break and all of a sudden theres a problem?? Please.

I haven't heard anyone complain that Villanova is playing close to home (actually aren't they playing at an arena they've hosted games at before?). The NCAA has said they'll keep the top seeds as close to home as possible, and that's what they've done. It just so happens that there's a first round site about 25-30 miles or so from UNC and Duke (who are top seeds)

The top seed that's getting shafted is Louisville (no not UConn, b/c someone has to go West, and that's the trade-off for being the 4th 1 seed)
UConn could be looking at a second round match-up against Ohio State in their backyard.

Maybe so people don't complain, the top 8 seeds should all just host the first and second rounds on their campuses. Then everyone is close to home.
