So he's making $10 million for being smart? All along I thought it was because he was 6-10 and good at playing basketball.

Smart is picking Toronto of Portland. You are sour because he didnt come to Portland. The Jailblazers have 0% chance of winning a championship let alone making it far into the playoffs. Toronto is pretty much in the same position. He liked Toronto better than Portland. Toronto is an overall better city than Portland. Toronto is more marketable than Portland. Toronto has a larger diverse community than Portland. Toronto has a larger turk community than Portland. Hedos wife loves Toronto. Hedos wife wants to live in Toronto.

Didn't Portland just raise its state income tax to 11%? If that is the case,he's saving a boatload of cash just on taxes alone. May not have been the best career decision,but it made send business wise,and more importantly,happy wife=no aggravation

if this is being pointed at me, id like to know where the personal attack I made? Who did I attack with name calling aside from calling someone "Sour".

Infact the only part that is being attacked in this thread is Canadians and Turko for choosing toronto. We had a poster call Hedo "Stupid". Thats an attack. Calling someone sour.. AFTER they have called someone else stupid is pretty moot.

Id personally like to see you suspend someone for starting a flame war by calling others stupid and putting down cities like Toronto before you choose to suspend those who try and justify the need to stand up.

And yes lets keep it civil. Hedo has made his decision to come to Toronto. If you dont like it, then feel free to email him and let him know that his decision has impacted your life in such a way that you felt the need to go out of your way to let him know. :dance9: :dance9: :dance9:

Making the playoffs doesnt mean you will win a title. The odds of winning a titles are exactly the same. Beating out every other team in the exact same number of games of probability (best of 7). Standing right now, without taking into factor what happend last year, the odds are exactly the same. If we were to weigh in circumstances then id have to say its just as hard for Portland to win in the west vs Toronto in the east!! Less compeition and easier road with a bad team vs a decent team with a tough compeition and 10x tougher road to get there in my opinion. Each negate one another.

Now if Portland was in the east! Id agree Portland has a better chance. But not being in the west. Toronto will be a playoff team this coming season hopefully.

As for the rest.....am I sour that Hedo's not coming here? No, not really. I don't like when any player agrees to terms and then backs out, but that's life. We don't know how much truth there was in any of those rumors, so until the ink is dry on the contract it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

And you're right the Jailblazers do have 0% chance of anything....because that team was blown up. The Jailblazers are long gone. The Blazers, currently are full of young talent that are also good guys. Do the Blazers have a shot at a championship? Sure. Do few pieces have to fall right? Of course. I'll take a 54 win season, co-division champs, 4th seed in the West and a core group of young players that are improving every year over a team that won 33 games....in the East and looks like, depending on the economy and teams willing to spend, it will lose it's superstar.

likley odds dont always come through. Im sure last year a ton of people would have called for CP3 and the hornets to go pretty far. Or calling for the nuggets to flop early. Anything is possible. The east is an easier road than the west.

For Hedo to take 10 mill or whatever it was was a decision upon him and his family. Who are we to say he is "Stupid" for doing so. As for his verbal agreement? A contract isnt a contract till its signed.

and why be feared of being suspended? you have been before and from multiple sites for that matter... what makes us so special? because we put up with it more than any other site will? heck I thought you would like us MORE for that reason
