This begins with email exchanges and then the sportscardfreaks.com
website message exchanges where the transaction originated
In the context of the emails you will notice that only one
tracking # that was sent, and that was the
4 lb package delivered Monday Nov 24, 2008. The contents were nothing as I expected.
The package consisted of 400 common rookie football cards and 25 game used inserts.
450 cards total, no where near what was agreed upon or promised in the deal.
This is likely because Mr. Gerhard played the old bait and switch.
At no time was a second UPS tracking # ever sent to verify that any second
22 lb package containing the some 3,900 cards
promised had been actually sent. In addition, upon followup phone calls
to the exact UPS store (phone # 407-786-1593) in Florida
on November 21st, 2008 and speaking to an store employee (Deesha)
that Mr Gerhard had only sent the 4 lb pkg to my destination in Findlay, Ohio.
Furthermore on two separate inquiries on November 21, 2008
I asked both the employee and an 800 number UPS agent if this was standard
practice to place 2 pkg's together
and only use 1 tracking #. I was told contrary to Mr Gerhards claim that this is never done.
It is clear in both my Paypal payments for $200 and $210 to Mr. Gerhard that
I put in the notes what I was purchasing.
This solidified my hunch that Mr Gerhard
had never sent the promised second 22 lb pkg out to me at all.
I feel I have been a complete runaround on this sale by
Mr. Gerhard and that he has not been
forthright and honest in his explanations regarding shipment of goods.
I request that Paypal ask for a second tracking number for the
(other goods over 3,900 football sportscards) not received.
Common sense obviously shows that a 4 lb pkg will not contain that amount
of volume in sportcards. Thus the need for a second pkg.
I have attempted to contact Mr. Gerhard 4 times in the past 24 hours by telephone.
I have attempted every possible means to contact Mr Gerhard
thru email and telephonically and I am not getting a response.
He is not returning any calls to clear up this matter and
it is my belief that he has no intention to refund or clear up the situation.
If a 2nd tracking # cannot be provided by Mr. Gerhard I would request a refund
for my payment of goods never received in the amount of $210.00.
