WOW! Great shots! I live about 15 minutes outside of Boston. I have had the pleasure of meeting Ray 3 or 4 times. One time we had a great conversation during a Bruins game at the Garden but I don't think it was back to being called Boston Garden yet. In any case, as you probably witnessed, the guy is as genuine and nice as a guy can be. Always extending a hand and kind words to the kids around him and has always been looked at as a true Boston legend.

Must have been cool to meet one of the greats, I did a few signings in the Michigan, its a really fun event to attend, best one I went too was Jagr in his rookie year, probably the only one from a team other than the Red Wings, the others were Federov, Delvecchio, Osgood, Datsyuk, Drapper, Maltby, and the great Ted Lindsey!

Oh, I want that mini Stanley Cup in picture #13, wonder where you get them and how much, looks like the guy had other signature's also on it, how cool is that!

Jager now being a Bruin, me being 48 years old, I love the guy. Has lost a step or so but always keeps the Bs in games in the later periods. We came really close this year and he was definitely part of it. Would love to have a beer with him sometime.

Wow, I've gotta say that Ray has aged pretty well. You see some retired hockey players that spend all day on the green and beach and they look more like a leather sofa than a former athlete.

Was there a particular event or was it just a "come on down, we have Ray Borque signing things!!!" sale?

When I first read your description, I somehow visualized him signing on an actual frozen pond. It, of course, didn't occur to me that it's in the middle of summer and that would be absolutely ludicrous. Hah.

Did you get anything signed while you were there?
