im not bothered by this at all...if its a CLEAN hit, i dont care if you get a kickback from teammates...sure if you pull a Charles Martin on Jim McMahon where it wasnt even CLOSE to a legal hit, i have a problem

ESPN has been running video of Coy Wire hitting James Stewart where Stewart got his collarbone broke and Wire was given an incentive...i cant find the video, but it was a great tackle, Stewart was going up the middle and wire hit him shoulder pad to shoulder pad and wrapped at the knees

Tedi Bruschi is talking about how bad it is, but Mike Golic is saying it shouldnt matter, if its clean its fair game...

i gotta go with Golic on this one...

Tedi Bruschi is talking about how bad it is that made me lol! like that cheater has any room to talk. Im sure all 32 NFL teams have some kinda bounty program...maybe not as big as the Saints. All you here is how defenses are gonna **** the opposing teams players,it is a mentallity that players are told since youth. This is a strange situation ...that could set the Saints back for years to come. wonder if the IRS is gonna get involved? with all that untaxed money floating around.

i wasnt a fan of him to begin with but he seemed to be ok, but today i wanted to punch him...saying he was never a part of a team that gave any 'incentive' for a big hit or a big play...

horseshit

then saying how it will follow the Saints and they should be punished more than the Pats for 'spygate' and 'spygate' is still in the news and it hurts more now and shut the hell up...

i dont know much about Mike Golic, i dont listen/watch Mike and Mike, but dude seems solid as hell...said he didnt need the thought of extra money to put a big hit on a guy when he got the chance, and when he played if you made the reel for a big hit or a great tackle, or an interception you would get a little bonus from the guys...

i guess Tedy will try to tell me that college athletes never get paid either

I don't like the bounty system. A good hit or whatever but paying guys when players get hurt is just wrong. Payment for a great hit is fine but what they were doing in New Orleans was tied to injuring players. I bet the fines and suspensions will be very hard.

payment of any type is considered a bounty at this point...i agree it was wrong to go after injury, but i see nothing wrong with 'best catch' or 'best hit' or 'best block' getting a pool from the respective position players
