Another Nail In The Coffin For Beckett

Well we all know Beckett is pretty much useless. Today I received an email stating starting May 12 there will now be a fee to use their Organization thing. So the only somewhat good thing they had left they will now charge you for. Also its basically a back door way to charge for trading to since your supposed to use the organization thing to do your trades. My thoughts oh well its only a matter of time and they will be gone.

Unfortunately I do not think they will be gone, but some of the extras/workarounds will definitely be gone.

$20 a year is nothing. They have provided a tremendous service for collectors for free for a long time. I don't think it's unreasonable for them to cards a small annual fee for the service. There is a price point where it becomes not worth it, but I am not sure what that point is.

i never figured out how to do the new trading system anyway...and in a way they were already charging for it, as you had to have a subscription to get the BV anyway, and arent 75% of the posters over there gay for BV?

I have traded for years over there with no BV, the way it should be.

To them, if they lose 50% of their customers and the other 50% pay the $20, they'll consider it a win.

in a way you can, on COMC they list the value as beckett value... so if your card is on COMC you can.

the checklists over there have been goofy for awhile now...ill look up cards by set when ther eis a lot of SPA on eBay where itll have numbers listed, so when looking for "2007 sp authentic football" the cards my come out 101 102 103 104 105 108 109 111 112 115 which makes it a pain to look :wall:
