word on the street is NIU with a win over Kent State Friday, can punch a ticket to the orange bowl :shock:

i think NIU is 21 in BCS, but they are 17/18 in USA Today and AP Polls, strength of schedule kills them...would be top 10 if they didnt choke the end of the Iowa game week 1...

They need help. If UCLA and Texas win it wont happen. I think both will lose though so the winner of the Kent State/Northern Illinois game will go to the Orange Bowl. I hope GT beats FSU so we can have Kent State v/ GT in the Orange Bowl.

all Kent has to do is contain Lynch...NIU has no other viable running option, if Lynch gets hurt the ship goes down...not like the defense will win the game for them...Kansas scored what 52 against them?...the NIU kicker isnt so good either, so leaving it to a FG would be bad news...

im not sure how everything shakes out to get them to the Orange, but its better than the International Bowl...:roll:
