2010 Predictions Thread

If the Mets stay healthy they will win it all..............

if they trade for a new starting rotation from #2 through #5........ :(

I know this is gonna look homerish, and I will admit it is. BUT, if Clayton Kershaw can take the next step, it makes my prediction a lot more realistic. A big IF, but we'll see.

Also, I'm tired of seeing the Dodgers losing to the Phillies in the NLCS. It's LA's turn! :p

Dustin always sets his Dodgers up for failure with the same jinx (we all obviously believe in superstitions)

Since this is the predictions thread:

1) Texas Rangers win the AL West (this will look foolish by June, as usual)
2) Giants win the NL Wild Card on the final weekend (to take another 6 months off my life expectancy)
3) The Giants offense scores the same 3-4 runs every evening, no matter who they add at the deadline
4) James Loney hits 14 HR's and is still seen as a player with "huge power upside"

I love, and hate you, Mike. I really do. :p

Loney was never going to be a 30 HR hitter... not even after hitting 15 in his rookie season. He'd be lucky to get to 15 HR a season.

But 14 would be an improvement on last year's total (13). :p

I could see Texas winning the AL West. If Feliz makes it as a starter, the team still has a lot of prospects the team could deal to improve at the deadline.

According to my horoscope, 2010 will be a good year for me. Apparently Saturn and Pluto have been in unfavorable positions for me for the past couple years. But now they have moved to more constructive places.

I guess I will be receiving more attention now, and people will be drawn to me like moths to a flame. Also Jupiter will be my sign for this year, and that will give me newfound optimism and happiness for most of the year.

I tell you the same thing every season. :lollol: Should have had the Dodgers going the Wild Card route, and gave the divison to someone else. Wild Card teams winning the World Series only makes things that much more frustrating to everyone else.

Twins beat Marlins in 7 to win the World Series

A person can dream, right ? ...

So Dustin what playoff format has Seattle winning its division but allowing Texas to play in the playoffs?

I think the Angels are still the team to beat in the west, but I definately like the moves the Mariners made.
