Basketball Travel likely to keep Billups out of Denver lineup

Chauncey Billups isn't likely to make his Denver Nuggets debut on Wednesday night at Golden State.

The Nuggets said Tuesday Billups didn't have enough time to get to the Bay Area. He was in Charlotte with the Pistons when the deal took place.

Denver acquired Billups, a point guard and Denver native, along with Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb from Detroit on Monday in exchange for Allen Iverson.

Billups will likely play in his first game for the Nuggets on Friday night when they host Dallas.
