Starting to get ugly.

Illinois held in for a while, but now USC is starting to do what everyone thought was going to happen inevitably.

how about #1 for Iliinois running down Joe McKnight though  he looked like a super hero zooming in to save the day.

Yeah, that fumble in the red zone followed by the 60 something yard gain by McNight on the broken play was the beginning of the end.

#1 is Vontae Davis, Vernon Davis' little brother. He's by far the most athletic player on Illinois.

Yeah that was also a problem. Illinois just did so many things wrong and USC had so many things go their way. I think USC is pretty good, but still not as good as people think. Great game plan by Carroll :salut:

they could have scored every drive. They are in a completely different class than Illinois.

If they played 100 times USC would win 100 times.

Yeah Illinois had a great season, but to play USC in the Rose Bowl... not sure about that. I would agree that even without the turnovers Illinois still loses to USC close. USC (Carroll) also did a great job with showing several wrinkles and using all the talent they have to give Illinois alot to think about. I still don't get why Zook ran the same plays over and over and finally started throwing towards the end of the second quarter.

that game would not have been close if they played it on the moon.

Outside of LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia that game would have looked the same. USC is one of the best teams in the nation currently.

Besides the Rose Bowl that got ugly, the Sugar Bowl is getting ugly. I can't tell how good Georgia is because Hawaii is awful (partly because they're one dimensional).

Hawaii doesn't even look like they deserve to be there. Boise State competed toe to toe with Oklahoma last year, but Hawaii looks like some WAC team that Georgia and other big schools select as their opener to begin the season.

I think you're onto something. Hawaii is slated to travel to Florida early next season.
Should be another trouncing.
