Yeah June Jones discussed Florida being slated as their opener next year before the game today. He said it with a bit of confidence, basically saying that "Yes, we can hang with the Big Dawgs of college football." Too bad that they can't because they can only pass and cannot stop the run.

It would have been more interesting of a day if we changed the Sugar and Rose to be like this:

USC v.s. Georgia

and

Illinois v.s. Hawaii

Outside of LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia that game would have looked the same. USC is one of the best teams in the nation currently.

i dont think Oklahoma can handle USC in pasadena right now

Illinois played great defense through two and 1/2 quarters, but that isn't enough. Not fumbling into the end zone certainly could have made the score closer, but it was only a matter of time before the Trojans offense started wearing down Illinois... and definate hats off to #1 for not giving up on that play :salut:

Joe McKnight is a bad man though. Hate to see good Louisiana talent leave the state, but at least he is getting national exposure.

I was there when Illinois was marching down the field and then the WR fumbled the game turned for the worst right there.

USC was pretty quiet while we were marching then we fumbled and it seemed like it took a turn for the worst

Was fun being there, IL looked like it traveled really well.

There was 93,000 people there with some change.
