I am looking to sell my collection, as a lot or piece by piece. I have A LOT of cards, I am looking for different opinions of the best way to sell them. We are having another kid soon so I am looking to selling most if not all of it (except my lou brock cards) Thanks for any info
Patrick

Chances are you will get more if you sell things off individually. BUT if you sell the collection as a whole it'll be faster and most likely easier. Congrats on the little one that's on the way!

Thanks .. first boy and yes the name is going to be brock :) i was hoping not to go thru each card as an individual I have been collecting since 73/74 and have some from my dad from before that. It would be a lot of work. Is there some software that you might know of that i can organize it a little bit, that you know of? I have probably over 100,000 cards, or do you think just dig in and pull the best and post those?

wow, that's going to take a while! I know there have been a few companies make an inventory software but I don't know about one that did well or sticks out.

I am a buyer of big collections. However, the card market is as soft as I have ever seen it right now. Quantity is one thing, so if you have quality vintage that is what you should emphasize in listing your collection. some of the newer items are in demand too, but they have to be low run productions. Check completed items on the bay and get a feel for what to expect. Good luck and congrats on the addition to the family. Jim

thanks jim. that is what im running into at this time, no one wants to look at the big collections. So I keep plucking along scanning some cards as I come across them. Sold a few on ebay but its really time consuming as you might have guessed. Thanks

Well, it looks to me that you and I are neighbors. I am in Berryville just south of you.
I did not see any vintage in your bucket, but maybe you have not scanned them. I did see an Jim Edmonds auto I may be interested in. Any other Cardinal gu or autos you could part with maybe we could work something out.

yea i just now got back on my photobucket once i remembered my password. (in addition to the little one coming we have one that is 1 year old) I am hopefully going to have time to update my bucket in the next couple of days and remove or move the pics of the cards i have already sold. The edmonds I do know has sold on ebay last summer. I do have some older cards that my dad had and I hope to get those cards uploaded soon as well. As far a other card auto or gu I am going to keep the brock but once i am able to upload everything else would be available
