Opinion Time, what is the PREMIER RC (by sport) out these days...

Lets just take current issues, for all 4 major sports (we'll include BK for sake of it ). What do you feel is the must have, premier, TRUE rc for each? Remember, modern players, don't go vintage on me here...

Football, to me, even as nice as Exquisite is, SP Authentic is my first choice for a real rookie. YES, I hate that it is an event used patch, and is limited (for patches) to rookie premier players, but still the gold standard in my book.

BASEBALL

While I like what Sterling has done, and their look, have to stick with Bowman Chrome for now....

HOCKEY

Definately The Cup, their rookie Patch autos kick all other sports asses (imo)

While SPa is great for fb, for bk just not the same, so here I will give Exquisite the nod, but not overly sold on it...

Sp authentic. While exquisite is the one that sells the highest (only due to the packs being crazy stupid), the sp authentic has been around since 1998 and seems to be the most collected set.

BASEBALL
Bowman chrome is and always will be king of this sport. They did mess up the rookie cards in the baseball hobby but we all know that the FY cards are the best.



HOCKEY

Not sure I would say the CUP.

BASKETBALL

With basketball it is all about expensive products...Exquisite is king here.

Football The only sport I give a heaping pile about. Hockey and basketball especially I seriously wouldn't notice if they disappeared.

SPA is the premier here. I also love the Elite TOTC, BC gold/orange, Gridiron Gear patches, Finest refs (all 25 of them ), and Ultimate.

Football is the only sport that matters.

High end- Playoff Contenders- Beautiful product. Holds value well. As it stands, I will never, ever get a DJ Hackett Contenders auto as they are now up to $40+ :doh:

Mid End- Bowman Chrome. Parallels are sexy as hell to me. Base, Ref, X-Fractor, Blue, Gold, Orange, Red, Super. What more can you ask for?

Low end- Leaf Longevity. Loved the 2005 stuff. 06 disappointed me. Hoping 07 will revert back to 05. Again, parallels are the shiznit.
