EA pays Orlando man to watch football all day
Yup, we want his job.
By Mike Smith

How does Madden publisher Electronic Arts make sure its Madden games are up-to-date? Ask Anthony White, longtime Madden fan and assistant designer at EA's Tiburon studio in Maitland, Florida.

During football season, White's enviable job involves watching every single NFL game in exhaustive detail, tallying offensive and defensive plays, and watching out for new formations that the Madden team will need to add. As the Orlando Sentinel reports, it takes him about three days a week.

"I am responsible for the design of the X's and O's," White told the Sentinel. "How teams play in the game. How players react to certain situations that come up. The coaching tendencies."

But does he like his job? What do you think? "Sometimes I have to pinch myself," he said, and if we had his job, we're sure we'd feel the same. Sadly, there's no indication that Tiburon is taking applications.

Now we know why Madden is so garbage.
