At a time like this. Bulks up 15 lbs to retire... :doh: The 49ers are now in dire need of a veteran RB (and no, Robinson doesn't count as an option). Hopefully they can acquire one like Westbrook soon.

Never a dull moment with 49ers training camp these days. Injured offensive linemen on a regular basis, the impact-less Kentwan Balmer getting investigated by the NCAA, and now Coffee retiring. Just start the regular season already... :lollol:

They have Gore, Dixon, and Robinson...... and it's not like the 49ers have never cut a player before their contract is over, so it is what it is. I'm sure he owes them some money, it was a wasted pick, but it's not like losing a back up running back who averaged under 3 YPC will set them back.
