Deb went to a car boot sale last weekend to get rid of all our room cluttering items. Had a tiny space left in the car before she left so added 2 base sets of SPA 07 NFL , some 06 SPA MLB and several hundred odd base cards from the past 3 -4 years. Included duplicates. Advised her to take £1-2 for each base set ($1.50 ish).

Sold the lot to a chap for £10 ($15) - no fees - got to be a :salut: for the wife Cannot believe she said £10 when asked what the whole lot was worth - guy was buying for a friend who like NFL - let's hope he wasn't too peeved with the cost!!

No, local parks or football clubs open their car parks up every Sunday and about 200 people drive up in cars and vans (start queueing at 5am), open the back up and have about 1000 people trail around looking for bargains. A great way to get rid of unwanted items, especially after a move! The cards were a bonus..

I need to go to one of those. I have way too much crap around here. I just took several large piles of almost new books to the library and just dumped them on the donations table and walked out. Probably could've made some money if I wasn't so friggin lazy.
