Giants signed DL Chris Canty to an undisclosed contract.
An already loaded defensive line gets better, and a lot bigger. Canty gives New York the option of showing more 3-4 looks to disguise blitzes. The Giants may also ask him to bulk up and play tackle at a John Henderson-like position. At 6'7/304, he can likely afford to carry more weight. Canty isn't a dominant pass rusher, but commands attention and can bat down passes with his long arms. The Giants will keep their linemen fresh in a heavy rotation.
