Giants camp was really fun. They don't look good but you never know what will happen once the season starts. I will make a summary post with pics in the Living Room.
The autograph situation was pretty much the way it was a few years back. There are two areas where the players can walk off the practice field. Both have low, red wooden fences where people lined up. After yesterdays practice I waited where everyone else was. Most of the players went through the other exit because there was not as many people. Shockey came through the exit I was at and only signed for kids and the ladies. He actually snubbed me. Signed for a kid next to me and then walked right past me and signed for the kid on the other side of me. I wasn't happy but understand. He's only signing a few so he signs for the kids. Eli signed for like 10 people and ran off so he seemed very hard to get.
After todays practice I decided to go to the exit where the least amount of people were. I had much better results. Shockey came through and wasn't going to sign at all but one of the kids was reaching over the fence and screaming, "Shockey, PLEASE!!" Just as Shockey ran by the fence gave way and the kid went down hard onto the metal wire and wood fence. Shockey picked him and his stuff up and said, "Now that's some effort! I'll sign for that!" Signed the kids ball and ran off into the locker room.
Enough of that. Here are the autos. I made all the 3x5s. The printed pics look better in person.
First, two guys getting cut in a few weeks:
SS - Craig Dahl - Rookie from North Dakota State.
DT - Tommy Davis:
OL - Grey Ruegamer:
OL - Adam Koets:
LB - Gerris Wilkinson:
DT - Barry Cofield:
Oh and this one!!! :cheers::cheers::cheers:
Eli was really cool. When he walked over all the kids started going nuts screaming ELI, ELI, ELI. Eli saw there was hardly anyone at this exit and knew if the people in the other area heard they would all start running over. So he starts saying, "Shhhhhh, Shhhhhhh." and waving his arms up and down as if he were trying to quiet the crowd during and offensive series at Giants Stadium. He spent much more time than the day before and was talking to the kids a lot and signed a bunch of stuff before running off.
