Hey all,

I’m curious if you set goals for your collection every year. I always have an idea of what I want to accomplish outside of the new releases I put together every year, but my collection seems to meander a bit as opportunities present themselves. I’m going to try to stay a bit more focused this year. My two goals:

  1. Finish my 55 Bowman set that I have been building for 5+ years now
  2. Finish my 80-81 Topps Basketball set
Let me know what you’re after this year and I’ll see if I can help.

Andy

55 Bowman is a tough set to find in good condition, I can see why that one would be tough to build!

My goal this year is to run a contest on here each month, this is an awesome community, I want to give back some more.

Happy New Year!

Kevin

I don't normally make long term or even short term goals, but I guess I should mention my "Strive for '65" set build of Topps 1965 Baseball. I wanted to get it finished back in 2015 for the 50th anniversary, obviously that wasn't accomplished. I am currently a little more than 50% done at about 55%.

That’s a tough one for sure…do you have a list posted up here yet? We’ve got a few vintage collectors who I’m sure may be hiding a card or two you need.

This year I acquired a Ted Williams autograph that I have been chasing for a long time. My one goal for 2023 was getting a Mike Trout topps update rookie. That was a success. As a bonus, I added an SP Jeter rookie this year as well. Three pretty big cards for me. The sad part is that I had the Jeter and the Trout in the past but dealt them away when I was laid off back in the day. Maybe someday, Ill be able to replace the Hank Aaron rc that I sold when times were tough.

That Aaron RC is a tough one for sure, luckily I got mine prior to the vintage boom. I also got my Jeter SP RC graded this year. Was hoping for a 9, but it’s a tough one.

Lol…I’ve quietly come close to finishing up the 63 set…it’s probably the set I’ve made up the most ground on this year when I wasn’t really pursuing it actively. The Rose was another buy pre-vintage boom and just got it graded at the same time
