obviously the majority of us are in the USA, so the big 'news' for us will be in the pool...

Missy Franklin is the great white hope in the womens pool, and Phelps and Lochte should dominate the mens events...

Womens Softball is gone but i think Team USA is favored in Soccer and somehow Gymnastics :shock: then on the Mens side, obviously Basketball, but i wouldnt call them a 'shoe in' like the 'original' dream team...international basketball is much better today than it was 20 years ago, plus they play together as a 'national' team minus the NBA folks throughout the year...also lots of talk about USA being weak at 'Big Man'...

Team USA Womens Beach volleyball will be in bikinis though shorts are now allowed i guess...

im geeked up and ready to go...quite a few Olympic Hotties out there...Natalie Coughlin, Georgann Moline being a few im looking forward to from Team USA

i just watched the Call Me Maybe thing the Swimmers did, there are some hot chicks there i didnt know about, but then again, the Olympic swim outfit isnt real flattering...

some things we get to see on occassion...the college track and field championships are carried on ESPN yearly, usually the SEC Championships for womens gymnastics, but its the only time we get some Hammer Throwing and Ping Ponging

I thought a lot of it was weird. I think there were a lot of references that anybody outside of England wasn't going to understand, and that probably led to that. The giant baby was creepy. I dug the forged rings and the fireworks set to Pink Floyd at the end, though!! Apparently I'm easily won over by pyrotechnics.

Phelps wins his heat but barely makes final, Lochte finishes 2nd in his heat but i think he qualified 3rd in the 4 or 5 heats?

Tim Wang the table tennis player in the Topps Olympic set got smoked in the best of 7 4-0

the mens long course bike thing was amusing when with 10 miles left the leader missed his turn :doh: American came in 4th and said its a good team finish but the worst place to finish..

some chick punched one of the american soccer players in the face, but the zebras didnt see it, but they said itll get reviewed and the girl will likely get tossed from the next game...
