Made a similar version of this post a month or so ago. Same award, probably some new names mixed in with the old ones.

With that said, who gets the invite to the ceremony, and who wins the Heisman trophy?

Below is a list of likely candidates:

Mark Ingram, Alabama
Tim Tebow, Florida
Toby Gerhart, Stanford
Colt McCoy, Texas
C.J. Spiller, Clemson
N. Suh, Nebraska

From what I have read, there have been as little as three invited, and as many as six. Post your thoughts.

My list of invited players:

Tebow, Florida
Ingram, Alabama
McCoy, Texas
Gerhart, Stanford

Suh and Spiller get looked over like Graham Harrell did last season.

My winner is the same as before: Ingram

Invited:

Mark Ingram, Alabama
Toby Gerhart, Stanford
C.J. Spiller, Clemson
N. Suh, Nebraska

Winner:

Mark Ingram, Alabama

Should be the Winner:

N. Suh, Nebraska

Here is my list:

Mark Ingram, Alabama 1429 yrds rushing with 28 TD's and 3 REC
Toby Gerhart, Stanford 1736 Yrds rushign 27 TD's,
C.J. Spiller, Clemson 912 yrds rushing 7 TD's 4 returns for TD's,4 rec TD's
Colt McCoy, Texas 3328 passing yrds 27 TD's with 9 INT's
N. Suh, Nebraska
Tim Tebow, Florida 2166 passing yrds 17TD's, 796 rushing yrds with 13 TD's and 10 total turnovers

all stats are BEFORE today's games but I still like my list.

Suh is the most dominant player in college football. Being on defense and playing on a non-top team has kept him from being a serious contender.

I think all 6 of those are deserving of an invite to New York. All have put together great seasons and it has been a close race all year long.

Before today, I would've said McCoy would win. However, after what he did (or didn't do) and what Ingram did do today, it will go to Ingram.

Might want to check your stats on Ingram.

Suh's stats:

82 Tackles, 23 Tackles for a Loss, 12 Sacks, 24 QB Hurries, 10 Pass Breakups, 1 INT, 1 FF, 3 Blocked Kicks

homer pick IMO

Suh > Ingram

Yeah, Ingram had 15 TDs before today, plus the three receiving.

Suh is a beast. Granted I have not been alive to see some of the greatest, but he is the most dominating college DL I have ever seen. Most dominating college defensive player since Roy Williams. He is unreal. Un-freakin-real.

I said Suh is the most dominating player in college football....... but Ingram will win the hardware.

Pretty much how I saw it as well. My prediction was based on many voters having made their top 3 more than a week ago, then just finalizing it after watching the Florida/Bama and Texas/Nebraska games. Suh probably sneaks in some votes because of this, but just not enough to undo what was already set in stone for many voters.

Certainly not the way I'd vote, I'd wait til the very last minute to get mine in.

CJ will be borderline mainly because all ESPN talked about was McCoy, Tebow, Ingram, and Gerhardt. Then all last night was about Suh even though Spiller set a career high rushing and had 4 TDs. He almost had 5 but was out of gas when pushed out at the 1

Jusst watched the Clemson game - wow, Spiller was amazing. Not seen too much of him but surely a close contender. Tebow was outplayed last night. Ingram was very good indeed. McCoy was ok in the other games I have seen this season - better last night.

Get the invite:

Spiller
McCoy
Tebow
Gerhardt
Ingram

Get snubbed:

Keenum
Suh

And I agree with Mike & Stefan. Suh should win because there hasn't been this player this game dominating in ages. Can't wait til the draft and hoping that either St. Louis, Cleveland or Tampa Bay drafts him #1 overall.

But, Ingram will win. I want Gerhardt to win, but he won't. West coasters, minus USC players, don't get any publicity. :ban:

I agree with your comment and it has always bothered me how voters send in there votes before the Conference championships have been played. They need to have all voting done after the Conference games
