I vote Chris Paul point guard from Hornets,he has great passes,he can read the game and he is now the best player of Hornets,I think he is great team leader

Chris Paul almost won it a couple of seasons back.

I voted him closely followed by Durant.

Durant needs to be on a winning team to have a shot.

Paul has already seperated himself from the other players on that list. He does everything well, has a high basketball IQ, leads a talented team and makes everyone else better.

Obvious choice is Chris Paul because he is just that leader you want on your team. Next choice for me would be Brandon Roy, dude is veeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy underrated. He needs more respect, dude is crazy.

Both guys are good. But they dont have enough experience under their belts to be true leaders. Not to say they wont get there. But you cant expect a player to fully lead a team with only 3 yrs under his belt!!!

CP3 and Roy are not under rated. They are very well known, both have been recognized for awards and their plays. They are all stars now. All stars are never under rated.

Tell that to Chris Mullin and Dennis Johnson who both made 5 NBA All-Star teams and neither one is in the Hall Of Fame.

I voted Rose

Paul had his one shot and got screwed. The season he had that year was ridiculous and he didn't get it.

Rose should help lead the Bulls to a good season in the weak east and has a better shot because of it

Making the Hall of Fame is far too easy these days. By the time the 80s and 90s players are done the hall will have 1 million players in it at this rate.

For every 5 time all star there are twice as many who are 10 time all stars.

Who did Dennis Johnson and Chris Mullen go up against in voting in their respective years?

Its a definate that these guys are better that some inducties, but its just a shame that good players are voted up against even better players.

Ok guys, Here is why Kevin Durant has the best chance.

First off i think we can rule out Granger because his team wont be good, Aldridge because he isn't even the best on the team, Rose because he isn't even as good as Chris Paul (even if he makes a great jump, its rare he would take the MVP because most players have to have multiple years of production to win the MVP.

Thats leaves us with Roy,Paul,Durant. I am going to take out Roy as he has shown the least progress through the first to years of his career and i believe he will be the same player as last year, maybe a tad bit better.

Now we have Paul and Durant and this is not easy but here is why i give the advantage to Paul, Paul's team has made the playoffs over the last couple years, So it would take a huge stat jump for him to take MVP. That won't happen because he has players around him who need the ball as well. This is why i am ruling out Paul.

Now the reasons i have kept Durant as the most likely is because his team was bad last year but has a lot of talent like the blazers did a couple years ago, But Durant puts up big numbers and can only get better IMO. If Durant gets 25-27ppg and his team is a playoff team he is a MVP candidate.(Now you may argue that the granger situation is simliar, Its not. Granger is in a weak eastern conference, he doesn't have scoring potential like Durant. If paul averaged 20 and 8 assist he wouldn't win the MVP because we have already went thru giving Nash the mvp 2? 3? times.

Point proven, have a good day.

Giving Nash the MVP proves that Paul won't win?

LOL I think it shows that the league are willing to give MVP to those kind of players so it actually increases Paul's chances!

Beside you forgot one important factor.
Paul is a better defender than Nash.

So if Paul puts up the same numbers as Nash used to, plays a bit better defence and has a winning team - there is absolutely no reason why he can't win.

Nash winning a couple proves nothing!

Sorry bud, That is not how it works. People where mad nash kept winning because they felt guys like lebron, wade, kobe should win. And everyone still feels that way i am sure. When Nash won his first his team came out of nowhere, When pauls came out of nowhere he didn't win the MVP. Because he didn't win those years i just don't see it happening for him. Did he even start in the all-star game last year?

I am not knocking Chris Paul, He is probably the best PG in the game. But he has no chance with the team he plays for and the seasons he has already had. Do you really believe his stats can jump much more?

Steve Nash absolutely made that team run. He was the engine and the engineer. The Suns played the best basketball in the league even though they always ran out of steam in the post season. I have no problem with Nash taking home those 2 trophies. I think you are comparing him to the LeBron and Kobe we saw last year.

You say people wanted Lebron and Kobe and Wade to win? In 04-05 They had a combined 0 1st Pace MVP votes. Lebron didn't get any 2nd place votes either. Kobe did not receive any votes, P.J. Brown got more votes than Kobe.

In 05-06 Nash managed 57 first place votes to Lebrons 16 and Kobes 22. Wade did not receive any first place votes.
