Celtics no question about it!

If the Lakers didn't lose so many final series to them, we might have a debate!

Both are great franchises though.

Lakers look at the players that they did it with everytime. Not alot of high caliber guys like the Celtics. Now Red is the best coach by far ..

I think the Celtics for now but give it a couple more years and I ll go with the Lakers and as for Red being a better coach than Phil, Id take Phil ;-).

Res by FAR a better coach. Phils just coached better players and has got to choose where and who he wants to coach. Its easy to win when you have MJ, Kobe, ect.

celtics by far. Look up in the rafters. Also Red is and always will be the greatest coach ever. Phill looks like a good coach beacuse of the players he has coached. Kobe, Jordan, Shaq, Pippen etc.

I think Phil is the best coach of all time. Coaching great players isnt as easy as you think. Making a team gel well enough to win is just as hard. Red had some decent players in his time.

Ill vote for Lakers and Phil!~!

yeah, Auerbach had a bunch of bums on his team. It's gotta be tough to win when your trotting out guys like Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, John Havlicek, Bill Sharman, etc...

I think Phil's the better coach. Celtics better by just championships alone, but to me it seems as if the Lakers "low" years arent as bad as the Celtics "low" years, so I can see the debate there

It's also easier to be a dominant team when there are only 8 other teams in the league, and the caliber of players is greatly lower than today.
