I think hobby boxes get better inserts. So I would pick a hobby box

my experience buying retail boxes (even those - especially those that guarantee a GU card) is they dont give you the QUALITY inserts. I bought at least 5 or 6 2009 UD Spectrum baseball and didnt get one GU that was SN....I guess I shouldnt EXPECT it but it seems that the "value" is only there with the S/N GU in that set.

retail never pays you back i have never gotten anything good from boxes but ive gotten at least 10 autos or gu from retail packs including a rc buster posey lol

I agree with the other posts on the Hobby Box sets. I have been having very very little luck with Retail box sets. I have more luck buying just a single pack of Topps Chrome hobby pack than I do a whole box of Topps Chrome retail.
Just something to think about...
