Vote on this poll, give your reason please, don't just vote. Here is my nominee...Tim Lincecum. At 18-5 with a 2.62 ERA, i'd have him on my team anyday.

Your thoughts?

Cliff Lee gets my vote, 22 wins (and only 3 losses!) on what was a terrible team in the first half. Lincecum is a fair choice as well, for similar reasons, Lee just had a better season.

umm you gotta edit that poll

you are missing some people and got some bad choices on their to begin with

joba, moyer, patterson, johnson, maddux and wagner GET THEM OFF THE LIST

And insert

Dice K
Mussina
Johan (my pick Ill explain)
Webb
KROD
Mariano

Ok your 6 there are the dumbest picks Ive ever seen

Ill take Johan not to be biased, because if Ive got one game to win, I want him pitching, just like he did in the regular season. With a bullpen, he'd have 22 wins, and his ERA is tops in the league. To me ERA is the #1 pitching stat, not wins, because if you give up 2.5 runs a game you SHOULD win

I voted for Cliff Lee 22 wins 2.4ish something Era and he is From Arkansas to top it off. I'm a Huge Maddux Fan but seeing his name on this list made me Chuckle.

Moyer OFF? He is one of the best, not to menchin he is 45 years old, is 16-7 i believe. Wow, he does ****!

alright he was 16-7 I know that, so was Johan

sodoes Moyer = Johan as a pitcher, not a chance

Ok look at the top 10 pitchers, at least IMO, but and there stats

Cliff Lee agreed
ROY HALLADAY 20 GAME WINNER, tons of CG
Mike Mussina, 20 GAME WINNER 3.37 ERA in AL is amazing
Brandon Webb 22 GAME WINNER, no need to even give stats
Johan 16-7, had 7 games blown, ERA Leader of MLB, 2nd in SO
Lincecum agreed
CC agreed

that is the clear top tier
then there are alot of guys in the 2nd tear
DiceK 19-3, under 3 ERA in AL
Jon Lester, 16-5 3.2 ERA, threw a No Hitter, been Bostons sure bet, never shaky, wins big games
Ryan Dempster, lights out at home, Cubs #1
Then you can throw out guys like Oswalt, Saunders, E Santana, Gavin Floyd, Billingsley, Lilly, Haren who I rather have pitch than Moyer

And then that is jsut starters, if you toss in relievers on the list, he might not be in the top 25

I'm not going to argue, because that's your opinion...But i'm just saying, you even have to say, to be 45 years old, and have 16 wins in PHILLY, one of the easiest parks to hit in, you are a very very very good pitcher!

trust me Ive got respect for him, to not even throw hard and still get em out that late is amazing

but that still doesn't make him one of the best when there are 20 better than him at least!

Can you explain some of the other picks, like Patterson, Johnson, WAGNER, and especiall Maddux with a LOSING RECORD if I remember correctly

Roy Halladay is one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. Period! 20 wins on a crappy team that gave him no run support in most all of his starts this year that he got a loss, or no decision! Lee had a terrific year, but we'll see if he can be as consistant as Doc has been every year.
