Bench Warmer
The Timberwolves took care of a little business before tonight’s season opener against Sacramento, announcing that they had exercised their third-year option on forward Corey Brewer and a fourth-year option on guard Randy Foye.
Foye, the team’s starting point guard, averaged 13.1 points and 4.2 assists in 39 games for the Wolves last season after missing the first three months while recovering from a knee injury.
He is under contract through the 2010-11 season and is scheduled to make more than $3.5 million in next season’s option year.
Brewer, the starting small forward, averaged 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds as a rookie.
He is under contract through the 2011-12 season and is scheduled to make a little more than $2.9 million in his option year.
Does anyone remember when Foye was tearing it up in his rookie pre season? Brewer was a Gator so they are two talented players
Nice job by the T-Wolves
