the SPA patches not pictured, 17 are multicolor...

the SPA will be hitting eBay in a couple hours, as i want to get some of that $ back and put it to work on another project
 
well if you like the top half, tomorrow I should get one even better...

as for the SPA flip, already 1/7th of the way there, sold the Terrell Suggs already on eBay
 
at least this time ill get way more out of Romo than last time I had one...lot of 22 2003 SPA Autos for $27 and Romo was in it...circa 2004...

slower start than I wanted, 2 watchers on the Carson Palmer, and 1 each on the Romo and Witten with the 1 BIN hit and 0 other bids...

within a week I want to be at least 'near' profit, so about $200 in future sales this week is what im looking for...

I pulled 3 cards that wont see eBay anytime soon, the Boller, the Marcus Trufant, I think that makes 59 of the 850 ill have, and the Dennis Weathersby...I don't want to burn all my free listings, as im getting 2 cases of Olympics on Monday, so that's minimum of 24 autos, 48 relics, 72 gold, 24 rainbow...not many of the relics will go to list, as im not listing any serial numbered stuff in hopes it gets to where the 2012 stuff currently is, there are still quite a few autos I don't have and if I pull duplicates of some I might move one to the PC...candidates for that are Lindsey Vonn, Meryl Davis, and Katie Uhlaender...also being Hobby they should spit out 8 Champions autos, not sure if I would keep a Peggy Flemming, but I will keep the first Nancy Kerrigan and Kristy Yamaguchi, and Peekaboo Street...hopefully I can hit some Sochi patches and pins, cause those sell well, but if I get Gracie or Ashley they aren't going anywhere...

it doesn't take much to get started in flipping and with all the listing promos eBay has done the past couple years, its made it real easy to flip, and this year has actually been pretty slow in terms of finding and flipping lots off eBay, the majority of my sales have come from flipping Olympic stuff from blasters...granted in down quite a bit on the Olympic stuff, but that is more of a 'long term' flip, whereas the SP Authentic is definitely more of a 'quick flip' as I expect to be at profit on the SPA within 30 days, and wouldn't be shocked if im at profit by next weekend when the listings end...last Polamalu sold for $54, the last Leftwich $60, last Palmer was over $50 (single color, not a 'premium' serial number), Romo will go for over $130...if I get sales in those ranges, just by selling 6 of the 150 cards I will get to cover...that leaves me with the Boller (PC), Trufant (PC), 25 other patches or patch/autos (Boldin, McGahee, Grossman, Dallas Clark, Larry Johnson gold), 29 autos, and over 100 serial numbered RCs to grind, and since I pay nothing to list them it doesn't cost anything to have them around until I get my desired price
 
Yeah I might try to get into flipping. I've learned that probably buying lots on eBay are better for flipping rather than buying one card. Plus it would be kind of shady buying one card for a price then turning around and selling it for a lot more. Do you have any price guide that can tell you what your cards can go for or do you just use what has sold on eBay?
 
eBay completed is my 'guide' if you will, but also I know things that will sell based on doing this for a number of years...if I cant find a recent history, ill typically text a couple friends to see if they know about a card...recently I was looking at a lot with a CJ Spiller that had no history and none on eBay...one of my friends use to collect Clemson stuff, so I was able to find out more on the card...single card flipping is terribly risky, you buy a card for $10, then by the time it gets to you, you are into it for $13 (shipping), so now just to cover cost and fees, you are looking at $15+...I suppose if you are 'prospecting' its not uncommon, where you pick up some stuff of a guy before camp starts because hes not a highly desired guy, but you think hes a potential sleeper...

if you do go into single card flipping, you have to be looking for items that are listed in the wrong categories or with errors in the title, so like the listing is for a card that is /25 and it isn't noted as such, so if you don't know what you are doing, it might be the 'regular' version that has is /999...sometime in the past year I snagged a lot where a parallel was hidden in one of the pictures, if you don't know cards well, you wouldn't notice anything different really, so instead of getting a 1998 Bowman Chrome RC that most people would have guessed was in the lot, it was actually a 1998 Bowman Chrome RC "Golden Anniversary' /50...so a Fred Taylor Bowman Chrome sells for $1, I was offered $50 and declined, as 'comps' were a Troy Aikman that sold for $50 (not a RC, but a decently collected player on a highly collected team) and another Fred Taylor RC /50 that sold for $73 from a lesser valued set...I got the lot for under $1 per au/jsy and it had a few assorted RCs, nothing too great aside from the Taylor, but I made it to cover in under 2 months, and am sitting on a fairly nice card that I can sell for easily double what I paid for the lot

another thing you have to do is see what others are offering the card for, several times ive sold a card on eBay and turned around and bought the same card on COMC for less, but really the easiest way to know what the card should sell for is to look at completed...but you cant bank on that for a new set, obviously the FIRST autographed Manziel probably sold for more than the 5th, as people will rush to get the 'new' thing...also, somewhat limited stuff from older sets can vary greatly in price, as one might sell for $20 because 2 guys go to war on it, and you list yours for $0.99 start and that is all it sells for, as there are really only 2 folks that wanted it...

and where people tend to lose the most is holding onto something thinking it will continue to rise in price...I take the profit and get out, ive seen cards I sold for $10 sell for $35 in a couple weeks, and ive sold cards for $70+ that I bought back the IDENTICAL card for about 20% of what I sold it for a couple years earlier, and sold stuff for $25 that the guy gets injured 2 weeks later and they sell for $5...

if you get into it, know what you have into it, and make sure you get more out of it
