Thinking of quitting Wax busting

I don't know, but it seems like I have bad luck. When my brother collected too, who would always get the good packs. Hwever, I have not pulled anything spectacular in pushing 2 years. I guess it is frustrating since after I am done with a less than steller box, I just tell myslef that it could have been a nice single or a couple nice ones for that price. Even recently I was at the shop and was going to rip something. I had to choose between Bowman Chrome and Leaf R&S Longevity. I went with chrome and pulled some rcs, a couple vet refractors (no rookie or numbered ones) and a Gary Russell auto. Then another guy in the shop buys the Longevity and pulls a Patrick Willis auto 3/10. I just think my luck sucks and I should stick to singles for a while.

That is my rant :salut: but what do othrs do because it has been a LOOOOOOONG time since a very nice pull?

My entire 2006 was like that. In fact, in 2005 My one great pull was a Topps 50th anniv. John Elway Auto. Sounds good right? I busted over $25,000 in product that year.

Here is what i am TRYING to do. I'm trying to only bust low-end ($50 and under) and just buy singles off ebay for the higher end stuff.

to be honest with you brad, i only bust low end product, expecting...well, low end product. when i pull something decent, im pretty happy. i dont even touch boxes that are over 100...with the exception of PP legends this year because i was doing the set.
but yeah, i only buy boxes to satisfy my box busting urge, and then i quickly go back to snatching up singles on ebay :D
and it also helps to collect autographed memorabilia haha, so it takes the focus away for me.

also, what may help is you just taking a break for awhile, then try your luck again? good luck with whatever you decide :salut:

98% of the time I buy PC, 1.8% of the time I pickup some junk bait (like Jason, but less) and the other .2% of the time I rip an occaisonal blaster or pack, just to do something different.

Do what you feel, but I'm guessing there's many others in your shoes that feel the same way.

PC, for me, is the way to be

You can't be upset about not pulling something spectacular. Your odds of pulling a huge card in box B don't change because you hit crap in box A. Either bust way less frequently and spend the same amount by buying ONLY ultra high end, or just stop (which is the smarter option).

I feel you Brad........I was on a horrible streak.....then I hit the LT/ Dorsett dual.....but it's back to pulling crap when I can open a few packs.......do what you gotta do bro......we got your back regardless:salut:

Only wax I ever break is Bowman Chrome, I have tremendous luck with it (haven't broken any this year, but last year I broke four boxes and got: a Maurice-Jones Drew auto, a Matt Leinart auto, a Haloti Ngata Red Refractor and Demetrius Williams auto in the same box and a Kellen Clemens auto:cheers:)

I rarely ever open a box of anything. Just scour eBay daily and pick up singles. Every once in a while I will open a box, but it is a very rare treat for me.
