when i first saw the thread title i was gonna make a joke about how his name should have been something awful like steel mc'beam and post some pictures of beams with jokes.....

but im not gonna let the fact that they actually named there mascot steely mcbeam stop me from making my joke

It looks like Cowher, the Rooneys had over 70,000 entries, AND THIS IS WHAT THEY PICKED!!!!!!!!

Believe me, the Steeler message boards are not very PC about this one...

The lady who named it said the came up with the idea because

A. Steely ---------Steel
B. Mc. because it was funny
C. Beam..........BECAUSE HER HUSBAND LIKE JIM BEAM.....

True story:

Told my girlfriend about the dude and how lame his name was. Decided to tell her to think of the lamest name possible for the mascot. Her guess? Steely McSteel Pants. Almost scary how close she was :shock:
