Sportscenter reporting Arod tested positive for roids a couple seasons ago

He was 18 and not fully grown yet

With this logic, Barry Bonds finished growing when he was 35. But when you are as good as Bonds, you can defy logic (and the Feds too).

I'm curious to see the other 100+ people on that 2003 list now. Probably not many new Giants names, since most of their early 2000's juicers got hit in the Balco scandal. I won't guess names, but there are some crazy number jumps from light-hitting infielders and outfielders in that timeframe.

wut. Your bone development is basically done within the years 18 - 20. Adding 40 lbs to that frame and broadening out isn't a mid 20's growth spurt :naughty:

A male finishes growing between the ages of 18-21. He was 18 as a rookie and he gradually got more toned. I have not noticed a huge jump like what happen to bonds. I have seen Arod play in person (twice last year) while he is a beast he looks naturaly built. While when you look at Bonds in person you can just tell it is unnormal in every way.

Griffey the home run king without the *

i lost all respect for A-Roid when he left Seattle...

Dont forget Pay-Rod kept chiming that year that it wont be about money.

Hope he gets shafted out of the hall until at least Rose gets in.

Pete Rose is a complete piece of crap and what he did was just as bad as using Steroids. He is one of the worst things to ever happen to baseball.

As a player, he should definitely be in the hall. What he did as a manager does not take away from what he did on the field.

He broke a rule that was what 60 years old and he knew what the punishment would be. I also met in Vegas a few years ago and the guy is a total POS. Not that tht should keep him out of the hall otherwise alot of people would not be in there including my all time favorite Ty Cobb. Anyways Rose has no business in the HOF he knew what he was getting into and now he can deal with it.

Again, look at the '94 UD or '94 SP or '94 CC RC's of A-Fraud. He's McGwire esq (circa '87). And all of a sudden he's 200 lbs and a 3B . Something is going on.
The only reason he's been playing 3B is because of Derek Jeter.

And, like vets said, he was still a teenager in those pictures. That was nearly 15 years ago. A world-class athlete like Rodriguez isn't going to stay thin like that. He hit the weights and put on muscle. Look at all the guys from the mid-90s -- Griffey, Bonds (we know why), Jeter, Ramirez -- none of those guys look like they did back in the day. Does it mean they're all on the juice (save for Bonds)?

With that being said, I think he's guilty, especially since four different sources confirmed the information. It's really unfortunate. If Alex Rodriguez, potentially the greatest player of all-time, isn't completely clean, then who is?

On Rose: I'm with Jameson. What he did as a manager should have zero bearing on his playing career. He wasn't going to get into the Hall as a manager, but there's really no reason he shouldn't be in for his on-field accomplishments.

He said he did it. :salut:

Dave is validated.

Plus, Jeter basically looks the same. Not much has changed. Manny is bigger, Bonds is bigger, Sosa is bigger, AFraud is bigger, Mac got ridiculously huge.

Even my boy Abreu probably juiced. He was a bean pole back in '96.

Bottom line, no matter what we're all arguing here, is that Bud Selig must be fired immediately for the MLB to resurrect their reputation.
