Clemson fires Tommy Bowden, only to hire one of his assistant coaches? Wouldn't they want to go in a new direction?

I think much of the decision to hire Dabo had to do with cost.....buying out Bowden was not cheap. To hire just about any head coach with a decent track record would have cost more than I am assuming Dabo will be making. He is a great recruiter, but who knows how well he can assemble a staff and run a team for more than a few months.

Dabo and tommy have two very different philosophies on coaching during the game. Dabo is energetic and vocal. Tommy was awshucks and nonvocal. Plus, Tommy lost the team. Dabo recruited nearly half the team and the palyers love him and give everything for him. I think it was a good hire since we needed a shakeup and this may be it. Dabo has done a great job fixing the broken team and went 4-2 (you could say 4-1 since it is not too fair to give a coach 3 days). I am looking forward to the bowl and next season
