It might just be me, but I think Ovechkin's highlight goal video puts these to shame. I am a bit bias though.

Ovechkin has way better highlights then crosby, he's better imo as well.

The top 5 were pretty sick goals, I love #5 especially, that's just ridiculous.

Also.... Ovechkin has all the nice moves and highlight goals but Crosby is a leader, he can score his share of goals and he knows how to dive like a dolphin. LOL Even as a huge Cindy Crosby hater, I can honestly say he is way better than Ovechkin in terms of playmaking ability, and IMO he is the better overall player, I cannot lie.

Ovi has some deadly highlight reel goals........Myself I prefer Ovi over Crosby..........and do you see the hits Ovi dishes out.......talk about complete player......even back checks to dish em out........I also think he is faster...but that is just my opinion take nothing from Crosby's abilities on the ice he is truly a skilled star player

Lets see who is still around 5 years from now...

Ovechkin will get toasted at some point because of the way he plays. He is a dirty hockey player. He is the kind that you hate to see on the other team, but would love to have.

My opinion, Crosby is the more complete player right now.. but I see crosby every game he plays, so I know I am biased..

Cant wait til the Pens play the Craps next time... I think ovechicken better wear armor..

I like his spirit, when he is on the ice he makes stuff happen, it may not always be him that gets on the score sheet but he has a role in alot of it.
He deserves the star power he has recieved.

Define dirty hockey player............both players take hits and give hits .......only difference between Ovi and Sid is Ovi doesn't cry about them.........they are both good hockey players.........Sid will probably last in the league longer but most great players careers are cut short by injuries........look at Bobby Orr for instance........A dirty hockey player uses his stick gives butt ends .........but the league has really cracked down on that kind of play......A clean Hit is a clean hit no matter if the hit takes someone out .........can you tell me Scott Stevens was a dirty hockey player........and he laid out many a great hockey players.........or today's Dion Phaneuf..........great players play with a higher intensity and you can always see the difference .........it is part of the game

I wouldn't go as far to say that Ovie is a dirty player but he has had his fair share of dirty hits.

Anyone remember the whole Briere situation ?

I am not sure how much you see Ovie play, but I see him quite often. He definately is a dirty hockey player, and for you to say he does not "cry" about it is almost laughable. Sid complains the same amount as any NHL player does.

I guarantee, Ovichicken will not make 5 more years if he continues to play the way he does now. He trys to knock people out of games and has no respect of the game. Remember Eric Lindros? Sound familiar? Yeah, he did not have the talent Ovichicken has, but their play is similar.

Crosby is better than chicken man....

I have seen Sid be just as dirty as Ovi........just a couple of weeks ago he took a hit behind the net and as the play headed back up ice he whacked a the player right behind the knees with his stick "you know in the no padded area"so to say Ovi is dirty and Sid not well that seems just a little one sided.....it is all a part of the game ......superstars are all targets.......Sid has the same amount of chances as Ovi does to get knocked out of the game.......and yes I do remember Lindros....what I don't understand is why you call him chicken......a player that takes hits and almost every game goes out and hits with intensity in my eyes would not be called a chicken........To me they would be called smart players because he sends a message that if I am a target you are my target I will nail you like you are trying to nail me .....why was Scott Stevens not known as a chicken to you he went out and took star players out of the game many times because he was a defense man and Ovi a forward..... hitting is part of the game and a major part ........now I can understand if you would have called Kasparitis a chicken he would go out and dirty hit with his stick in play and then when confronted roll in a ball on the ice and back down like the dirty chicken he was .......Sid and Ovi are both star players I just prefer Ovi over Sid that is just my opinion but I would not go as far as calling either one a chicken..they reason I said earlier Sid cries more is because he embelishes more after the hit.....

I suppose this is the new Gretzky/Lemieux Debate. im glad I can watch such talent night in and night out. I dont care to speculate on whether Ovi is better then sid or vice versa. They will both have legendary careers and each are a huge part of their respective teams.

You made some points, and I will just end my discussion on the note that they are both great players.. I just think Crosby is the better player now and will last longer in the league.
