Nope, the Giants should only be concerned about the Giants, and they've got players that they need to rest if they want to field the best team they can in the playoffs. In the end, all that matters is a championship, nothing else.

i disagree with brian...

1. i hate the patriots
2. arent they playing for a first round home game?

i dont keep up too much on the gints, but i think you have to play spoiler, seriously do you think the patsies are going to risk the perfect season?

i have no clue why the packers played favre after the game was over with the INT TD by urlacher, as they had 0 to play for, they already have the 1st round bye and a #2 seed, cant improve at all, so why risk injury, they pulled ryan grant

Giants spot is set in the playoffs. They will go to Tampa in the first round and that cannot change. Playing spoiler is not as important as having a healthy team going into the playoffs.

Those players get paid to play 16 (hopefully more) games. You should play them for 16 games. Don't let them get rusty for the playoffs, and you definitely don't want to go into the playoffs coming off a shellacking, even if it is with your backups.

And what has resting your starters ever done for anyone? During the years where the Colts almost went undefeated, they rested their starters but failed to win anything. In 2004, the Patriots were 13-2 and playing the 49ers in week 17, and Tom Brady played all of the first 3 quarters.

The only one that truly needs to sit down is Plaxico. Everyone else should have quite a bit of playing time.

Isn't Jacobs a little banged up?? I would think he'd be priority number one as far as getting players healthy for the playoffs.

I think the starters will play the first half or something. I do not think Jacobs or Plax will play, although Plax practiced for the first time in months.

My opinion is to play them for a half and then rest them.

I agree on playing a half to get some reps in. If the pats play their starters into the 4th quarter, they deserve to have Tom Brady and Randy Moss raped by a Giant phallus.
