Basketball Sheed and Brandon Bass to MAGIC?

Bench Warmer
I read on ESPN that the Magic are trying to sign Rasheed Wallace and Brandon Bass, if they get Sheed it would be huge for them and if they can bring in Bass thats another great role player off the bench. I think if they got Sheed hed play the 4 and Lewis would go to the 3 and the Magic would be awful tough!

I thought that the Magic's signing of Vince Carter left a gap in the big man department after Dwight.
If they sign Sheed, watch out!!

If the Magic sign these 2 and don't have any major injuries this season, they are my pick to win it all.

I agree, but there also cannot be any ego issues. Gotta be a team first.

Bass would be the youngest of the bunch. Veterans like Sheed and VC don't have egos at this point. They just wanna win

Dwight already complains about the coach not getting him the ball enough. He won't be getting it as much with these guys on the team.

And Sheed not having an ego? Since when?

Sheed is more of a team player then most anyone in the NBA. He doesn't ever complain about not getting touches, playing time, or stuff like that. Yes he complains about calls against him and his teammates. He will be the first one to *****. He has been in the PLAYOFFS every year since his Rookie Year. Like 13 straight years? Has to be the longest active streak in the NBA. The guy is a surefire HOFer. Just because he bitches at refs, doesn't mean he is a cancer. Team player for sure! Fan Favorite in Detroit, I hate to see him go, but its time Detroit took another route.

No ego problems in my opinion Dwight now knows how it feels to get that close and lose they all just wanta win a title. If Sheed signs I am pretty sure they will most definetly be the favorite to win the east and possibly the whole thing. By adding Carter they are still better then Cle(they shoulda swept them last year) and then by getting Sheed yea its over. I think the Celtics are gunna still be tough to as long as everyones healthy, they are getting old but they can still get it done

There is a difference between being outspoken and having an ego. Rasheed Wallace is outspoken, and very much so, but doesn't have a problematic ego. He takes young players under his wing, he's one of the most respected players in the league, and he knows what it takes to win. I'll take him on my team any day of the week, even if he's physically unable to perform anymore I'd still take him just based on his character alone.
