'Greatest of all time' Rickey Henderson dies at 65
Rickey Henderson, the greatest leadoff hitter and base stealer in Major League Baseball history, died Friday. He was 65.

Rickey was a stellar player and a larger than life character who I loved watching while growing up. He will be missed, a great Hall of Famer.

My older brothers favorite player growing up! He used to tell me about Rickey and Rock Raines base stealing competition…awesome memories!

I remember the Rock and Rick competitions for stolen bases, cool you brought that up! Tim Raines is another excellent HOF player, one of the few Expos in Cooperstown.
I saw Rickey score the winning run in a 13 inning Rrd Sox - Yankees game at Fenway in 2002, my favorite memory of him!
I just saw his cause of death listed as pneumonia, I wonder if he had been ill for awhile? He would have been 66 today.
