Walt Jocketty proving once again why he's one of the better GM's in the league. They restructured his contract so that the $11 million Rolen was due to receive in 2010 will now only be $6 million, and then $6.5 million in each 2011 and 2012, with a $5 million signing bonus that will be deferred over the life of the contract. We really needed the financially flexibility that this restructuring gives us. Gave Rolen 2 extra years, but I can see him continuing to be productive over those 2 years. He played great for us once we brought him in from Toronto, and he's a great influence in the clubhouse.
