Here’s betting that hard-to-shop-for football fan on your Christmas list doesn’t have this. The Pro Football Hall of Fame recently unveiled the extravagant Bronze Bust Collector Card set, a 253-card collection limited to an edition of just 150 sets.

Oh, and here’s the kicker: More than 130 cards in each set are autographed – by the likes of Joe Montana, John Elway, Barry Sanders, John Madden, Steve Young, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Jack Lambert and Dan Marino.

“The bronze portrait busts, which we use to honor our Hall of Fame members, are often cited as something that separates the Pro Football Hall of Fame from other sports museums,” says Steve Strawbridge, the Hall of Fame’s Vice President Merchandising/Licensing. “With the Bronze Bust Collector Cards we feel that we have again created something thatseparates us from the norm.”

You won’t get much of an argument on that from football collectors, especially those passionate devotees who specialize in collecting Hall of Famers. The opportunity to secure so many HOF autographs in one place is a rare one to be sure. And that rarity comes with a price — $5,000 per set, to be exact.

Each card in the set is hand-numbered and incorporates stunning high-resolution photography that fittingly provides an aura of importance to the depicted player’s sculpted bronze bust.

“The bronze bust set is something really unique,” says former New England Patriots great Andre Tippett,a 2008 Hall of Fame inductee. “It’s one of a kind just like the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The card program is that same caliber, one of a kind.”

Each set comes with a Letter of Authenticity and is protected and displayed in a specially created binder featuring the Hall of Fame logo.

For more information on the set, or to order, call the Hall of Fame at 800-869-8207 or visit the Hall of Fame’s website.

Nice set, but I don't particularly care for the look of the cards...The John Madden auto topps it off though.
