I am looking to start a new player collection.
Problem: I am ALL over the map with trying to decide who!
Here are the early candidates:
Ryan Zimmerman - I like the low market team and like 3rd base. And I have hopes he just might be a 3000 Hit Club member some day
George Brett - Again, 3rd base and 3000 Hit Club. Plus, I liked him growing up. His '75 Topps RC was my favorite card for years as a kid (til my cat chewed it up).
Cody Johnson - OF in A ball for the Braves. IDK, I just like the look of his '06 BC rc auto. Plus he's young, 18-19 I think. So who knows. And he's CHEAP to collect lol which is always good.
As always, I am open to ideas. Please note: I am NOT looking to invest. I am simply looking to collect someone and have fun doing so.
Can you think of anyone I might not have? Preferably a 3rd baseman, young (19-22...maybe 23-24 ONLY if they've been in the league for a few seasons already). Ryan Braun is OUT because I am not into collecting 23-24 yr old rookies.
Anyway, I think you all get the gist.
Please offer some opinions.
Thanks,
Jay
