Hockey Next years Rookies

A little early but its always fun to speculate, anyone believe in the Stamkos hype? He is supposedly the next Sakic. His cards on ebay are through the roof.
Who else you think will make a splash?

I could see Kyle Turris as one of the biggest players coming to teh NHL next year. That kid can really skate.

It both scares and confuses me to see you in here. But you make a vaild point on Kyle Turris, He has alot of potential.

Depends on what you think is an impact player. This year's crop of rookies was totally defensive minded past Stamkos. Lots of talk about Drew Doughty, Luke Schenn, and Zack Bogosian stepping up right into the NHL. Not sure about Schenn, but the other two should start the year in the show. As far as forwards go, Mikkel Boedker could be a real sleeper in this draft. He's definitely got offensive upside to his game, but can he play with the big boys? My 2 picks (one offense, one defense) to be the biggest surprises of the year if given the chance to play are defenseman Zach Del Zotto who is a very offensive minded D-man, and forward Nikita Filapov (Pavel Bure type player). This kid may end up being the best pick in the 2008 draft. Maybe better than Stamkos. We'll soon see. Others to watch are Alex Pietrangelo, Kyle Beach, and Cody Hodgson.
