Aaron Wilson, from NationalFootballPost.com, notes that when New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker shredded his left knee in the regular-season finale against the Houston Texans last season, it was reported that he tore both his anterior cruciate ligament and his medial collateral ligament. Now, Welker is saying he only tore his ACL. Welker had previously said he needed to let the MCL heal prior to undergoing the more serious ACL procedure. Regardless of whether he tore or just sprained the MCL, the Patriots' star wide receiver reports that his progress is "coming along pretty well."
