I think that this SHOULD have been closer.... Durant will get more attention because he is THE NAME and his stats are good/great for a rookie, but WHERE are the other options on that team? He has to have those numbers...
Horford plays on a team where is isnt even the 3rd option
playing with Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and a ton of young talent it's pretty good that he puts up those sort of numbers ...I'm not saying he should have won, but the votes are a bit based on the HYPE of Durant

From what little I have seen/know - Horford seems the better player.
I guess the NBA likes to reward their offensive players at the expense of defence.
