Been a crazy busy week since returning from the Nationals last week. A great time and met some great people. The first two are finds from the Nationals.

Son said "what about this one?"...it was a dollar....

This next card has a bit of a story, I didn't realize it until I got home and was adding it to my tracking spreadsheet. Last year, I started late with the 2012 Topps Chrome chase. I search a lot of ended listings in an effort to track them down. A seller sold this card October 16, 2012. I searched feedback from then until March 2013, until I gave up on it. Well, I happen to find it at the same table in a box with the above card and a SPx 264/ in my other thread. Pretty cool.

crazy that you found 2 at the same place...were you pillaging the cheap boxes?...that's where I spent most of my time when I went to the National...with a little knowledge, the $0.10, $0.25, $0.50 and $1 boxes hold lots of treasures...and then the 2 for $5 auto/relic boxes are also a hoot...sure its nice to walk around and stare at the super nice stuff, and it would be cool to be able to throw around that kind of money, but the fun is dropping like $40 and getting a bunch of great cards from the past...old tough inserts, even old rookies that I could never get as a kid, like Jose Canseco Donruss Rated Rookie...then 'mint' cards from my first 'big' year of collecting 1985, getting a nice Puckett RC, a nice Eric Davis...just tons of fun in those cheap boxes

Actually found a 3rd in the same boxes, will be in my SPx udpates. I did hit the tables glanced through the cases and started into searching the football boxes. Found a total of 5 and met up with a twitter member who had tweeted out an SPx auto. If was a blast.

Found this one in a very large lot on ebay right when it was listed. Contacted the buyer and didn't want to pull it, even though I made a 200% offer. 22 days later he contacts me and sells to me. I have 3 of the 5 for CPatt now.

So while at the Nationals, my son and I happened upon a seller who had Luck, RGIII and Tannehill Camos recently RCR'd, all 9.5. He said his three cards were part of the complete camo set he was trying to sell. I got to talking to him and my collection came to light and recognized it from Blowout. I asked to check his set. Low and behold the last card, the first one I checked was my number. I made arrangements to try and replace it and swap it out, as long as he hadn't sold it. I found a replacement, sent it to him and then waited patiently. The post office took about 3 times longer than they should have, but obviously since the two above came with it, it made it. Thank you Joe for helping my collection and being a great hobbyist.

Another Nationals story. My son and I were walking through the maze of tables and ran into another Blowout member whom recognized me (I had a freakin' 264 jersey, what isn't to recognize) and said that he just busted some boxes and pulled a Fitz camo 264/499. It was in the car and when he got home, he would send it to me. Well, he did just that. Thank you jackmac1983 (Jack), this makes #134 of this year's chase....
