13k's in 7 innings, gave up 1 run. Perhaps the coolest stat was the first 9 outs were all k's. That hasn't happened since 1986.... He lead's the ML in strikeouts with 265 and 2nd in the NL among starters with a 2.62 era. I know I am partial, but because I have seen this kid pitch in person 3 times now, it's hard not to be. Those are major accomplishments. The Giants are absolutely terrible and to go 18-5 is pretty neat! Can you guess who gets my Cy Young Vote?

It will be close now though. No one is clearly the CY Young this year. Normally it usually is clear, but it depends how the voters will vote.
There is the school of thought that wins is the end all category so Webb would win.
There is the thought its who was the best over the season,with the best overall stats, that might be Lincecum.
or it could be the thought of who helped his team pitch his way into the playoffs having a great second half carrying the team. - That could be Johan, or dare I say CC.
I personally give it to Johan, not being biased, but because he should easily be a 20 game winner and also the ERA leader. ERA is my big stat that I go by cause thats what you can control, not the offense.

Well if not for 30 Blown Saves I guess they are in LOL, you know what I meant though, but it was Lincecum's to lose and now theres actually a race so it'll be interesting. But whoever gets it there should be no complaining cause all 4 deserve it.

As always lincy gets my vote. I haven't seen a pitcher that I liked that much since I watched nolan ryan pitch.
