Like they say you can not coach Heart

Don't understand

The guy might not be as interested in football as his father. Is that a lack of heart?

You have to realize growing up in his father's shadow and playing the same positon has to be tough. Everyone talks about how he will never be as good as his father, plus it is a huge commitment to paly football. Sometimes, if you are not going to play, a change may be what is best (see Jon Richt leaving Clemson)

Doesn't appear to have anything to do with heart at all to me. Maybe the O-linemen gang raped him in the showers, and that's why he wants out.

I give him credit. He is under an intense amount of pressure to live up to his father, and he stepped away to pursue something he truly cares about. If that doesnt show heart, I dont know what does.

I have coached football at the Varsity level for 5 years and when kids stop playing most of the time it is a lack of heart. Also I come to this conclusion because it was days after he did not play in a scrimage which kinda makes it sound like it was to much effort for him which also shows a lack of heart.

You still don't know why he quit, it could be that all the time he was putting in for football could have been put to better use for something he was truly passionate about.

BS the kid was all about playing football until he had a scrimage and was not played then he quits. No heart he had no disire to put fourth an effort. Spoiled *** rich kid quit when he was not getting his way

wow

thats all I can say

you really are an idiot.

Why because I disagree with you? Whatever. If the kid did not want to play football then why did he wait until now? He is the son of a HOFer and has lived off of that and had everything handed to him including this spot on the team. As soon as he gets challenged he decided he did not want to play football anymore. Sounds to me like someone either could not handle the presure or just flat could not handle having to actualy earn something for a change.

I don't think college coaches randomly hand out scholarships based on who their daddy is

I guess he decided the rigors of D-1 football wasn't for him. Maybe he wants to have a life outside of football during college. Nothing wrong with that.
