LeBron James says he hurt his left wrist by banging it on the rim while dunking late in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 108-91 loss to the Washington Wizards.

James was icing his wrist in the locker room after Wednesday night's game.

He said the injury came on Cleveland's final basket of the game, with about 2½ minutes left. James said he hit his funny bone, "but it's not funny at all."

He said he hurt the same wrist earlier this season, too.

James had 34 points and nine assists Wednesday.
