Hockey Just got a pack of Black

The box comes with 2 packs of 2 cards.

First pack I got a Clay Wilson Manufactured Letterman rookie Patch/399(L) and the back of it has some real nice manufactured gouges! Second card cheered me up though, its a redemption for a Dual Marks of Obsidian Auto Patch Materials/25 of Evgeni Malkin and Marc-Andre Fleury!

The second pack had a Autographed Letterman Rookie Patch/399 of Ilya Zubov(U), followed up with a Jordan Staal quad gu jersey/99, but again with the gouges!

I didnt complain about the Hot prospects patch I pulled with coffee stains on it...I didnt complain about the Luongo Black Diamond jersey that came out wrecked, but when I pay$250 for 4 cards, I expect 4 quality cards, not 2 cards, and damaged chunks of cardboard... I'm choked

Aside from damage, the cards are nice though!

That should make up for it, but send those cards in for replacement pronto, they are running out of replacements at UD. All their cards are damaged these days.

I decided to risk a second box, when I was going past my secondary shop, and got a rookie redemption, for a letterman rookie/99, the Ray Bourque quad jersey/99, A letterman rookie of David Brine(N) and then made up for it all with a Stan Mikita Marks of Obsidian auto patch/25.. And none of these had any damage, which surprised me! Ill be writing to UD tonight, about the others, and keep you guys posted on what happens.

That was a decent scond box, even with the damaged goods I wouldn't say it was as good as the Malkin.

Ask for compensation for your shipping charges when you send them to UD, I did that and sent them in a plain white envelope. They send you free packs of cards, whihc usually have a hit in them.

Well, I got a confirmation email, saying that they have received my email, and will reply within 48 hours.

But, overall, I think the two obsidian patches will pay for the boxes, and the Bourque, and Staal, will fetch a few bucks each, to turn profit.. As far as the rookies go, All I can do is hope they actually play. This would be a really good set, if they waited a few months to put it out. Then they could have actual game used Lettermen inserts, and it would be of rookies that we know will play. As it stands, I haven't heard of the three I have, and for all I know they could have been cut at training camp.

Yea. As it turns out, Brine just got sent to Rochester, but played nine games last year. Wilson playes 7 last year, and nothing this year, and Wilson played 1 last year, and nothing this year... That *****...

There are always collectors of obscure players out there, I wouldn't sweat it. Like you said the two Obsidian patches will pay for the boxes.

Yea, thats true. Thinking about it, this set has a lot of potential. If only they would wait until 2 months into the season to release it, that way, they could use real patches, instead of this manufactured garbage, and the rookies would actually be worth having... So long as they weren't damaged. Atleast the rookie redemption I got SHOULD be of one of this years players. Overall, I think I did alright. I have seen a Malkin Obsidian patch on eBay for $250, and the older players are going pretty high. And Jordan Staal, and Ray Bourque are both decent sellers. I'm just hoping that my redemption ends up being a Stamkos K, or a Turris U!

Yey! I just got my email back from them (48 hours!?) And they said they will replace them for me!

Good for you... I'm glad they had them in stock, I've heard some real horror stories let me tell ya.

They told me that they will only do it for 8 months after the release date, and it seems that they are just going to recreate the same cards, because they asked for the serial numbers, too.
