No argument here. Gilette is the quietest stadium in the NFL. But I do question if this thread was made to push someones buttons...

Nope, another post was, but this thread was not. I noticed while watching the Pats/Chargers game that it was pretty quiet. I figured it would be much louder considering the game.

A few guesses as to why this is:

-biggest game in GB in 10 years
-Pats have 3 SBs in past 6 seasons so a non-SB game when their heavy favorites quells the excitement a bit
-later start time = more time to get your drink on

Fair enough. But you are right, Gillette is really pathetic. I think it's mostly because one half of the stadium is wide open as well as the fact that the top opens up more than most other stadiums. They didn't engineer the stadium for noise the way a certain west coast team did
